Future Innovations Award 2023

Six winners will share SEK 500,000 and obtain support to drive their projects forward. Staff and students from all disciplines are welcome to submit their ideas.

Our world faces major challenges. There is an enormous demand for innovative solutions. Could your idea make a difference?

The Future Innovations Award has been presented in collaboration with Sparbanken Skåne since 2017. The competition is open to all employees and students at Lund University, and we welcome ideas and projects in all disciplines. What we are looking for in particular are innovative ideas that can have a considerable positive effect on the environment or society. Is it perhaps your idea that can make a difference?

The borderline for what can be considered an idea is not clear cut – but it is not to have been realised and you are not yet to have earned money from it. Perhaps the idea is linked to promising research results, perhaps a solution to a problem that you have reflected on or have worked on for a while. Promising ideas at an early stage also have a chance of winning, so don’t leave your ideas for future innovations hidden away in a drawer!

Submit your application to LU Innovation by 4 October! The award will be presented on 7 November.
