The University’s first Nobel Prize winner was recognised with her own personal bike parking spot
On the anniversary of the 2023 Nobel Prize in Physics, friends and colleagues gathered outside the Department of Physics in Lund to honour Professor Anne L’Huillier. The celebration was a recognition not just of her groundbreaking research, but also of her humility and enthusiasm over the past year.
During the celebrations, a plaque was unveiled that now adorns the bike rack outside Fysicum. That is where Anne often parks her bike on the way to work. Several of Anne’s University colleagues gave speeches recognising her efforts within attosecond physics.
