The results of this autumn's travel survey show that a majority of university staff (around 80%) travel to work by walking, cycling or public transport. This is more than other major organisations in Lund. But to achieve our climate goals, more people need to leave their cars behind. In addition, during the spring of 2025, several roadworks are taking place around Lund, which will make it difficult to get around by car.
This could be another reason to try a new way of commuting to work and join the competition!
Joint competition in sustainable commuting 28 April-30 May
Anyone who already commutes to work sustainably or wants to try it out can join the competition and it costs nothing for the workplace or the participant. You can choose to cycle, use public transport, carpool or walk and the competition runs for five weeks. Great prizes are promised.

How the competition works
You and your colleagues will compete against the other 25 organisations that are part of CoAction Lund (a total of around 30,000 people). You can also compete against other university departments.
You can join the competition during the event, and you do not need to register your travelling every day to participate. You also don't have to travel sustainably every day, but compete on the days you do.
The categories through which you will collect points will be walking, cycling, e-bike, scooter, bus, train and carpooling. You will complete two single journeys per day and choose the mode of transport you used the longest.
Each week we will send out an update on how the competition is going.
How to choose the winner
Since we have large and small organisations in CoAction Lund, we will weight the organisations against each other, so that everyone has an equal chance of winning. We will also select winners in different categories and award bonus prizes.
The organisation and the people who have made the most sustainable trips will have a chance to win. We will award both small and large prizes.
The app
During the competition, the Wellstep app will be used to register your trips.
