Become a guest lecturer at a EUGLOH university

Photo from one of the partner universities, LMU.

Teaching a course at another university, or hosting a guest lecturer, is a way to both develop your teaching skills and create new contacts in your subject area. Now you can get support in finding contacts.

You can find course leaders who want to receive visiting lecturers through EUGLOH's guest lecturer programme. Right now, there are over 100 opportunities in a range of different subject areas: science, engineering, economics, medicine, humanities, law, medicine, etc.

Where can I teach?

In addition to Lund University, EUGLOH also includes Université Paris-Saclay (France), University of Szeged (Hungary), University of Porto (Portugal), LMU – Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München (Germany), University of Hamburg (Germany), UiT The Arctic University of Norway (Tromsö), University of Alcalá (Spain) and University of Novi Sad (Serbia).

A fantastic opportunity

Sara Håkansson, deputy dean for education at the Joint Faculties of Humanities and Theology, thinks that the opportunity to teach at another university provides a fantastic possibility for development.

“Teaching together with other teaching staff is a way to see your subject through new eyes. As deputy dean, I believe that we must constantly work on developing the quality of what we do. The fact that the financing can be through Erasmus+ funds is of course an advantage, especially when the financial situation for many departments is strained,” says Sara.

Financing travel and subsistence

After you have established a contact, you can apply for funding for travel and subsistence through the Erasmus+ teacher mobility programme. You can get funding to teach, lecture, lead seminars, supervise and examine. It is also possible to combine teaching with professional development.
