How are the University’s preventative security measures organised?
The University has surveillance in place in all areas of the campus. Lund University works systematically on work environment issues, and the various organisational units are responsible for prevention.
Through Lupin, managers from all organisational units can order a course that addresses situations involving ongoing deadly violence. The course includes both theoretical and practical elements.
Managers can order the course on ongoing deadly violence; learn more: Course about ongoing deadly violence (ODV)
How should University staff prepare and behave if something should happen on campus?
It is difficult to fully prepare for an event that happens so suddenly and without warning. However, it is important to have the courage to talk about eventualities and thus be mentally prepared. As an employee, having a good sense of the local area can be useful.
Always call 112 in the event of an ongoing emergency. It is important to do what you are told when making the call during the event and follow the instructions given by the police.
