Examination Office to coordinate Sparta from 1 February

Photo from Sparta.

Work on the coordination of exam management at Lund University is proceeding. The Coordinated Examination Service has officially been a unit since 1 November and in connection with this has changed name to the Examination Office. Part two of the project began at the start of this year, and now Sparta will also be coordinated.

The Examination Office has previously staffed and coordinated the exams conducted at the Annex. As of 1 February, Sparta will also be covered by the Examination Office. The procedures will be the same as those for the Annex. Each department or division that has exams at the Annex or Sparta is responsible for submitting the exam and other material to the Examination Office.

Practical information about submission times etc. is still only available via a Teams group. Webpages on the Examination Office’s activities are under development for both the internal and external websites. If you need access to the Teams group or if you have any questions, contact: tentamensservice [at] bygg [dot] lu [dot] se (tentamensservice[at]bygg[dot]lu[dot]se)

Common rules

The project also includes the drawing up of common rules for on-campus written examinations. This is to enhance fairness and ensure equal treatment for all students. The common rules are being drawn up in consultation with the faculties. A rule regarding entry to and exit from exam venues has already been introduced. As of 15 January, there is also a rule concerning valid ID documents, see below.

The project’s steering group is led by Deputy Vice-Chancellor Lena Eskilsson and includes representatives from the faculties/equivalent, Lund University Student Unions and the Central Administration. The project manager is Elin Engman, Division of IT.

The complete rules can be found in the Teams group “Coordinated Examination Service at LU.
