Lund University actively promotes equal opportunities, including by providing the opportunity to apply for targeted funding. The gender equality initiative, including funding visiting professors of the underrepresented gender builds upon Lund University’s efforts to achieve a better gender balance among its professors. Even fixed-term employment of a visiting professor of the underrepresented gender, as a scientific and educational role model in their field, can have a positive effect in terms of gender equality.
