Christmas is approaching and we're all starting to look forward to couch time and the Christmas spirit. But before that, here are a few tips to help you relax.

It is high time to apply for annual leave for the Christmas and New Year period

If you are planning to take annual leave days in the Christmas and New Year period, it is high time to put in your application. Bear in mind that holidays are always to be applied for and approved in Primula beforehand.

Register health promotion purchases for 2023 by 31 January 2024

To receive reimbursement for health promotion activities purchased in 2023, you must register your application in Primula by 31 January 2024 at the latest. Receipts/other attachments must be scanned in for entering in Primula when registering your case. Original receipts/other attachments are to be saved for three months after your case has been approved in Primula, so that they can be shown on request if a checking procedure is required. 

Purchases made in November and December can also be reimbursed as part of the following year’s health promotion reimbursement.

Deadline for reimbursement for medication costs

You can apply for reimbursement for medication purchased in 2022 and 2023 up to two years after the cost was incurred, up to and including 31 March 2024.

However, as of 1 January 2024, you can only apply for medication cost reimbursement once per year for purchases made in the relevant year. The application is to be registered at the latest on 31 January the year after. You must substantiate your costs with an extract from the high-cost database.

Next year’s squeeze days and days with reduced working hours for T/A staff

Technical and administrative (T/A) staff have reduced working hours on 5 January 2024, when those who work full-time only need to work for 4 hours. If you are taking annual leave on that day, this is taken as a full day of annual leave. If you wish to take flexi-leave on that day, you are to check with your manager concerning this.
