In the recently completed review of the central administration, it was established that the name LDC was felt to be unclear. Even if the name is familiar within the area of IT, it has emerged that it was less well-known among large parts of the University’s organisation. This has been shown in the ongoing development work on digitalisation and research support, where it emerged that staff have struggled to identify central IT support.
To improve clarity, the decision has been taken to change the name from LDC to the Division of IT from 1 January 2024. The Swedish name will be Sektionen IT.
The reorganised Division of IT includes five units:
- Infrastructure
- Organisation Support
- Case Management
- Projects and Applications
- Division Support
The names of the units in Swedish are:
- Infrastruktur
- Verksamhetsstöd
- Ärendehantering
- Projekt och Applikation
- Stab
