New ideas are needed to address complex societal challenges. On 24 September 2024, the Lund University PhD Conference on Sustainable Development encourages interdisciplinary collaboration to advance academic research on sustainability. It's a space to share ideas, learn, and explore.

We invite all LU PhD students to submit papers, posters, seminars, workshops, or exhibitions by the 15 August deadline.

This year’s theme: Societal Transformation and the University

The conference will explore how universities can contribute to sustainable development and social transformation, emphasising the importance of plurality, difference, and imagination in knowledge production. It will start with a plenary session featuring speakers from different university sectors, followed by presentations, workshops, and other activities led by doctoral students. All PhD students at Lund University with an interest in sustainable development, broadly conceived, are welcome to join!

Submissions

We invite all PhD students at Lund University to submit proposals for papers, posters, seminars, workshops or exhibitions - you are welcome to work on the 2024 theme, but also on any other themes related to sustainability
