Professional and career development for technical and administrative staff – a preliminary study is underway

Jig saw puzzel and lots of hands holding it.

During the spring, a preliminary study is being conducted with the aim of enhancing professional development and career paths for technical and administrative (TA) staff at the University.

The preliminary study is to map the current situation: the development opportunities that exist, the rate of staff turnover etc. The work is to lead to concrete proposals for how LU can structure long-term work on professional development and career paths for TA staff.

The first part focuses on collecting information on the present situation at LU and how other public authorities approach this issue. It is also important to capture how the University can work on this in the future. The second part will consist of analysis and the drawing up of concrete proposals.

If you would like to know more about the preliminary study, you can sign up for an online seminar in which Åsa Berglund, who is responsible for the preliminary study, will present the ongoing work. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to the work by answering some questions.

The online seminar, which is primarily aimed at TA staff, is on 26 April 15:00-15:45 via Zoom.

Register by 21 April at the latest.

If you are interested in attending a presentation in English, please send an email to asa [dot] berglund [at] legal [dot] lu [dot] se by 21 April at the latest.
