It is time for EU Days Lund on 14-15 November. This year the event will be held at Lund City Hall, where LU is arranging three exciting sessions each with a slightly different focus on everything from innovation districts and testbeds to a resilient Europe. As we are heading for EU elections next year, EU Days offer an excellent opportunity to find out about the current issues.
On 15 November, starting at 11:30, there is an opportunity to learn more about what has made companies with links to Lund so successful. Does having an intensive focus on sustainability play a part in that success? What does proximity to the University mean? How can companies and the University continue to develop, where working together on test environments is just one possibility?
The Story of Lund Innovation District – Global Impact Within Walking Distance (15 November, 11:30-12:15) describes the innovation district concept and what has made Lund a global leader in innovation.
Exploring Lund Innovation District: A Playground of Demos and Testbeds (15 November, 13:15-14:00) offers a closer look at various initiatives in which researchers, entrepreneurs and companies can test their ideas in real-world settings.
The day before, on 14 November 11:30-12.50, is a seminar on the conditions for the continued development of Europe – “A resilient Europe”. This seminar is organised by the Centre for European Studies in cooperation with the Swedish Institute for European Policy Studies (SIEPS).
EU Days Lund is an annual open forum for discussion and the exchange of ideas about the future of Europe, Lund and Sweden. The forum is co-organised by the City of Lund, LU, the European Commission’s representation in Sweden and Europe Direct Lund.
