Tinder for cultural collaboration

How can you enable encounters across boundaries in order to create new experiences, exciting research projects and innovation within education? And can it be done without things getting fuzzy?

“Yes, this is something that those of us involved in the Strategy for Cultural Collaboration project have been working on for a while. What we specifically want to do is make Lund University’s artistic and cultural activities visible, so that they are self-evident and known elements for all staff members,” says Pro Vice-Chancellor for Education and Culture Ann Kristin Wallengren.

LU has collections of art, graphics and biological materials among other things. They are mostly accessible for research and teaching, but many researchers and teaching staff members are not even aware that they exist. It is therefore important to show them and increase interdisciplinary exchanges between researchers.

“We want to create a meeting platform – as a “Tinder” for cultural collaboration – and in this way contribute to new perspectives, learning and experiences among staff members,” says Ann Kristin Wallengren.

On 24 November between 09:00 and 13:00 it is time for a date at Skissernas Museum. The culture meeting is an open meeting for everyone: interested researchers, teaching staff and other employees who would like to keep informed about the cultural collaboration project, join a certain activity or make suggestions.

“Save the date and we will provide a more detailed programme in the near future,” concludes Ann Kristin Wallengren.
