18 December 2023 from 15:15 to 16:45 | Lecture
The lecture will be held in front of an audience in LTH Kårhuset's auditorium and will be simultaneously broadcast live.
After the lecture, we invite you to a conversation with Anne L'Huillier, where she will answer questions from the audience and viewers about her new life as a Nobel laureate.
This provides a unique opportunity for staff members and students to find out about the ground-breaking work that has been recognised by this year’s Nobel Prize.
Everyone is welcome to participate via the live streaming: Live streaming at LTH YouTube channel
This year's three Nobel laureates in physics are being rewarded for their experiments that have given humanity new tools to explore the world of electrons inside atoms and molecules. Pierre Agostini (The Ohio State University, USA), Ferenc Krausz (Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München, Germany) and Anne L'Huillier (Lund University) have demonstrated a way to create extremely short flashes of light, which can be used to distinguish the fast processes in which electrons move or change their energy.
Unfortunately, due to illness, Professor Pierre Agostini has had to cancel his participation in the celebration.
